Holly Ridge, located on the mainland just a few miles from Surf City was actually once had a population of over 100,000 which included US Army soldiers and even German POWs! Holly Ridge was a "boom town" in the 1940s being a product of WWII with Camp Davis.
After the war, the town shrunk back down to size and remained a sleepy coastal community for decades.
Modern day Holly Ridge is again growing in leaps and bounds. Recent expansions at Camp Lejeune Marine Base a few miles away have provided many opportunities for new home communities starting in the low 120s! Can you imagine being only minutes from the beach for $120,000???
Real Estate communities such as Sage's Ridge, The Neighborhoods of Holly Ridge, The Cottages of Holly Ridge, Summer House, and Pine Ridge Townhomes are just a few of the new offers in the new "Boom Town" of Holly Ridge.
Holly Ridge also offers several shops, restaurants, community building, park, ball fields and even a sound side fishing pier!
